There are regional or national grants, local tax rebates, and in some cases personal income tax deductions. Each has different conditions and timing.
Regional and national grants
In the Valencian Community, IDAE self-consumption funds are managed through IVACE. When a call is open it can cover part of the eligible cost. Many calls require applying before work begins.
IBI and ICIO: local rebates
Town halls such as Orihuela, Torrevieja, Pilar de la Horadada or Guardamar may reduce property tax (IBI) for a number of years and the construction tax (ICIO). Each sets its own percentages in its tax ordinance.
Income tax deductions
Some energy-efficiency deductions in personal income tax have existed in certain periods. They depend on current law and on your tax residence, so ask a tax adviser.
